What we've been doing for fun

Shawn made these jousting sticks for Garret and Brady. They were suppose to be swords. They ended up a bit bigger that he anticipated. Brady can bearly lift his. Garret and the girls and Shawn and enjoyed fighting with each other.Every night someone wants to joust with their Dad.

Sparkly Boy

Well, it was being way to quiet. I thought I better go look for Brady. I went into my bathroom and found this. He had pulled out my make-up case and opened one of my eyeshadows. Needless to say, he sparkled, the floor sparkled, the case sparkled, and most of all the eyeshadow was all over something. I had Shawn give him a bath and I cleaned up the bathroom. The next morning when I put on my foundation I looked like a sparkly bronzed godness. He used my brush in the process.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was a girl's night out instead of a romantic night with Shawn. Katelyn's reading teacher got married on Valentine's Day. We thought it would be fun to go to the reception with our good friends the Bronsons. We went to the reception and wished the new couple well.

The girls wanted to go to a fancy resturant, but we tried to tell them that because it was Valentine's day and Burley High School had a dance that night they all would busy; so they settled for DQ. The girls got sillier and sillier as the night went on but it was nice to have a girls night out.

Wrestling with Dad

I don't know what it is with boys and wrestling, but they just love to wrestle. They wrestle with me and the themselves, but they sure do love their Dad. I had to take a few pictures when Garret and Brady kept jumping on Shawn again and again.

Katelyn's 9th Birthday

Well, it comes so fast after Christmas. Our Katelyn is 9 years old. I can not believe that she is this old. She has given us a run for our money at times, but has turned into a beautiful young lady. She has a ear splitting laugh and certainly is exciteable at times. She loves life. When she chooses she is a great help around the house and with her younger brothers. She is a great student and loves to read. Right now she is a little obssessed with High School Musical and Fairies. She wanted Italian Chicken for her birthday dinner. She wanted of course High School Musical items for her birthday. We had a nice dinner and cake and ice cream. I wished all birthdays landed on a weekend. It was a whirlwind night. Happy Birthday Katelyn. Keep being a good example and trying hard to be obedient to your parents and Heavenly Father. We love you.

Peterson Family Get Together

I know this it has been a few weeks ago, but I need to catch up. Over New Year's we went up to Island Park with Shawn's family. We headed up New Year's Eve. We enjoyed Cafe Rio that night and played games. The cousins had a fun time with each other. They would stay up until late in the night playing and having fun. The next day, we headed out sledding with the kids. Brandi stayed in the truck keeping it warm in case kids got cold. I tried to get some pictures, but they are a little far away. We then stuffed ourselves in the car to head back for more food and fun.

We made marshmellow guns for the kids and crafts for the ladies. The kids loved to get into the hot tub everytime they could.

The men went snowmobiling everyday. The weather was a little yucky on Friday, but of course Saturday when we are packing up the sun breaks out and it was a beautiful day. The little ones held up pretty well. We might have spent at least one night up with them. I know that these get togethers are a lot of work for everyone involved, but we sure enjoy getting together and spending time with the cousins. I myself love being around the sister in laws and of course my mother in law. This last picture I have to throw in because it is so cute. Brady loves to put shoes on. So here he is in all is glory.
