Easter

Our Easter weekend was packed full of craziness. Saturday was the kid's first baseball game. Our weather was back to winter weather. We froze while we watched Katelyn, Garret, and Blakely play. Shawn and I drove down to Utah to get our new van. I did make him eat at Cafe Rio this time.(The story behind this - the weekend before we went to go look at the van. I tried to get everyone to go to Cafe Rio, but no one wanted to. We went to Golden Corral(the kids favorite) instead. Katelyn kept saying after, " too bad, Mom that we didn't go to Cafe Rio.") Shawn indulged me even though he told the kids that He wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse. He just couldn't break my heart twice. We got up the next morning and made rolls and turkey. We enjoyed church and came home and made sure we were ready for my Dad. We had an enjoyable dinner with him. The kids had a easter egg hunt while Grandpa and Dad took a nap. It was such a nice day. Too bad it snowed a day later and lasted two days.

New Wheels!

Well, we finally found us a new set of wheels. We have been driving our old van since our accident in December. I kept putting it off because it was sure nice not to have a car payment and I really wanted another Durango. We searched and searched but when we found one in the price range we wanted and mileage we wanted it was sold. Well, Shawn started talking about maybe going back to a van. Well, I wanted 4 wheel drive and such. But he started talking about how nice it was to fill up for about $25 and if and when gas goes back up, it was hard to spend the $70 to fill up the durango. Plus with me driving to school everyday. So frugality won out. We found a van in Salt Lake. It even has a DVD player in it. The kids sure love the van. I guess it was a good thing we bought it when we did, because the old van with 187,000 miles on it started acting up on the way to get the new van. I think that it was just mad that we got a new van.
